from £5.35 to £5.52.
- The development rate, for those between 18 and 21 years old,

Paye Compliance -Admission Of Guilt
During a PAYE compliance investigation, the starting point is
that under declarations are open to a 100% penalty, but discounts
are available.
The typical investigation attracts penalties of between five
and 15% of the under declared tax. Discounts are given for:
- Disclosure -up to 30%
- Co-operation -up to 40% (an early payment on account is often
helpful)
- Size and gravity -up to 40% (larger errors in the context
of the business.)
Payments on account. However if you are ever in this situation,
by all means make payments to get the co-operation discount, but
don't pay too early, this can be seen by the Taxman as an admission
of guilt!
